Eight or twelve channels over the same plate
All six models work over standard 96-well plates; choosing between 8 and 12 channels is choosing how many wells are filled per pass, because at equal range the error tables of the 8- and 12-channel versions are identical.
The head rotates 360°, so the reading window stays in sight however the plate is approached.
Three ranges, and a jump from 50 to 300
The ranges are 0.5-10, 5-50 and 50-300 µL: there is no 100 µL model, that work falls to the 300, which at its 150 µL midpoint states 0.5%. The bottom of each range is expensive, as everywhere on the pipetting pages: the 10 µL model allows up to 4% maximum error at 1 µL.
Tips are the standard 10, 200 and 300 µL, by range.
When to look at the Y multichannel series
This family carries no autoclave statement. If the instrument has to be sterilized whole, the autoclavable multichannel in the catalog is the Y series, which also adds the 100 µL range missing here.
