It treats what comes out, not only what goes in
This is the reason the family exists and what sets it apart from the rest of the vertical range. It carries waste water collection and gas filtration, so that the water and the gas finally discharged come out sterile.
The manufacturer intends it for materials, instruments, utensils, culture media and waste, with the stated aim of keeping pathogens from spreading through aerosols to people, animals or plants, or contaminating the surroundings. A general-purpose autoclave sterilizes the load; this one also takes charge of the effluent.
A single working temperature: 134 °C
It is not a range, it is a fixed value. The other vertical families work between 105 and 136 °C and let you choose the temperature by load type; here the cycle is fixed at 134 °C.
The programs are for liquids, media and solids. If the laboratory needs cycles at lower temperatures, this is not the family for it.
It generates its own steam and calls for deionized water
It comes with a separate built-in steam generator and a deionized water connection to feed it. That is an installation requirement, not an accessory: it is worth having the supply settled before the unit arrives.
Touch panel and emergency stop
The control is a color touchscreen, and it includes an emergency stop button that the other vertical families do not declare. The printer is standard, along with the basket, and it prints the cycle data in real time.
The four models draw the same
4 kW on all four, from 50 to 120 L, all at 220 V. The chamber measures 386 mm in diameter with heights from 515 to 1055 mm, and the weight goes from 118 to 158 kg.
The catalog asks that it be stated in the order if the unit is installed between 1000 and 2700 m of altitude.
